Clin. Prof Mark Sywak

Clin. Prof Mark Sywak is a leading specialist Endocrine Surgeon focused on the surgical treatment of patients with thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal problems. He is one of the most experienced and highly trained Endocrine Surgeons in Australia and performs over 500 thyroidectomy and parathyroidectomy procedures per year. He specialises in minimally invasive techniques for parathyroidectomy and adrenal surgery.

He is a graduate of the University of Sydney Medical School and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Prof Sywak is a Clinical Professor at the University of Sydney and President of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Endocrine Surgeons. He is highly experienced in thyroid and parathyroid surgery and has a strong interest in thyroid cancer research. He currently serves as an Examiner in Surgery for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
